Understanding Visibility Scores

Optiview calculates 0-100 visibility scores based on multiple factors:

Scoring Components

  • Citation Frequency (50%): How often your domain appears in AI responses
  • Domain Diversity (30%): Number of unique domains cited (normalized against the assistant's total)
  • Recency (20%): How recently your content was cited (fresher = higher score)
Visibility Score = (Frequency × 0.5) + (Diversity × 0.3) + (Recency × 0.2)

Weekly Rankings

We generate competitive rankings showing your position relative to other domains for each assistant:

  • Domain Rank: Your position (1-100) among all cited domains
  • Mentions Count: Total citations received during the week
  • Share Percentage: Your citations as a % of total citations for that assistant
  • Rank Change: Week-over-week position movement
